As runners, walkers, hikers, and even bikers foot care should be very important to you. One of the most important things I learned while serving in the US AMRY in the early 1990’s is take care of your feet, and they will take care of you. In-fact while in the ARMY that was one of the things in which we prided ourselves on, who’s feet look the best after a 30 mile march (hump as it was known as). We would remove our boots and compare, for some reason I always won. Maybe cause even back then I knew my feet needed to be taken care of. As a runner we go through the same types of stress on our feet as I did marching all the miles, and not only is a good pair of running shoes a must so is a good sock!
I should mention that I’m a Feetures Ambassador; however, this doesn’t limit me in reviewing other sock lines, and like all my other reviews of products I give my honest feedback.
Who is Fitsok?
Fitsok is a small company out of Chanhassen, MN who make a relative small line of running socks. I contacted them to see if they would send me some socks to test and review, they were gracious enough to send me a few pairs.
What is Fitsok?
Their socks are made up of “Coolmax®, Sorbtek™, Isolwool™, Shadow Yarn and other advanced fabrics that promote airflow and moisture management.” The socks have airflow on all sides of the foot, which keeps the heat and moisture away from the feet, thereby keeping the foot dry. They also have what they call an engineered heel that “reinforces the shape of the heel to enhance comfort and ensure a proper fit”. As well as a precision toe that “provides a contoured fit and eliminates bunching and irritation at the end of the foot”.
The “Sok”
I was sent the Fitsok
CF2; the CF2 is a low cut sock that seemed to be doubled matted with their material, the sock fitted well around my heel and forefoot area. However, I the arch support felt real loose and I didn’t feel as though the sock gave me much support. I also felt this sock didn’t feel snug and was lose is some places like the heel and arch. What was surprising was while running in them they didn’t loosen and become bunchy which to honest I thought was going to happen. The socks wicking material worked well as it kept my feet dry even in the GA humidity.
I was sent the F4 “Neopop” (3 Pack (I’m only two two)), I really like the F4 style as it felt snug on my feet and gave me that arch support I was expecting with the CF2, but didn’t get. The sock felt like…well…I wasn’t wearing a sock, isn’t that what we expect as runners? The moisture wicking properties of this sock I feel is much better then CF2. The only difference I can see between the two style, is this style uses Sorbtek™, which seems more to be the moisture management material. But I have to say I prefer this style over the CF2 due to the sung fit and dryness of my feet.

Overall
If you are looking for a good running sock I’d go with the F4 as my chosen sock to run in. The CF2 surprised me while I was on my runs, but I still prefer the tight, snug support of the F4.
