If you are anything like me, you sweat, and sweat pretty bad when you exercise. I moved down to the “South” (Atlanta) from Seattle last year to take a new job. I knew that it was going to be hot down here, but to be honest I didn’t know just how hot. The humidity down here can reach 120%…yes 120% how is that even possible? Well it is! Because of the humidity my perspiration can be crazy and there are times when my shirt and shorts are completely wet. I’ve tried other well-known detergents to try to get the soil out of my clothes with no avail. That is until I found Sport Suds! The answer to my soil issues.
Who is Sport Suds?
Sport Suds is a small company located in Milton, Canada. T goal is to, “design innovative cleaning products that enhance our everyday lives“. This do this by, “never settling for the status quo, and always pushing for something better, they search for ways to combine the latest technology and innovation with modern chemistry.” I found that their products line up to their goals as Sport Suds is “eco-friendly” as the product doesn’t have any dyes or phosphates. To learn more about their eco-friendliness link here.
The Suds!
I must say when I first received the bag and jar from Sport Suds I thought, this has to be a joke, right? What! Is this whole bag or jar going to be one load? And then when I saw the scoop I was doubly shocked and surely thought, no way is this little scoop going to get rid of soil on my clothes. i was on a mission to give a bad review! Little did I know that the small scoop of Sport Suds packed a huge punch of soil fighting additives. To make sure that I could truly test the product I saved about a weeks worth of clothes before I washed a load. Making sure to that the soil was ingrained in my clothes, so much, that my wife insisted that they clothes be washed or they will be thrown out.
The Proof!
I took one shirt as an example out of the load, as you can see the shirt was pretty soiled with anti chafing cream and sweat. After one scoop of Sport Suds and a full wash cycle the shirt was back to new. The soil was completely out and the clothing felt and smelt fresh and clean. I was so happy with the way the product worked on my sports clothing that is has become my go-to-suds for all my clothing. In addition to the powerful cleaning agents, I love that fact that I can use such a small amount per load of laundry. I have a high compactly washer that holds about three loads in one washing, and I’ve found that about a scoop in half will do a full load.
Conclusion
Likes
- Powerful cleaning agents
- Eco-friendly
- Amount per use
- Convenient
Dislikes
- Cost – At roughly $20.00 per bag this is a high price, but for the quality it might be worth it.
- Odor, or should I say lack of it. I’m one that like a little scent in his clothes, I know many do not, so for me this is a negative
Overall
If you are looking for a powerful laundry detergent that will get the soil out of your clothes I would highly suggest and recommend Sport Suds as your go-to-suds. And like me you will see why I love this detergent.

I use Shout but would love to try Sport Suds!
I usually use Tide, but would love to try something new!
So did I until I found this stuff! It’s awesome!
Right now I use Shout on my stains. It works OK, but I hate using on my technical fabrics.
I use Resolve Max or Spray N Wash Max to spray under the arms to get the “funk” out.
I use to use that as well but found it ruined my tech shirts.
I use tide but could use something a little stronger
I use Arm and Hammer detergent and some vinegar in the washing maching when I have stinky running clothes to wash!
I would use a little vinegar too. Until I start using this stuff.
Lots of strong arm power.
I’m a Tide girl!
Use some shout, oxyclean, and hope for the best!
Well using this stuff there is no need for hope – it just works!
I use Sport Wash, nice to know more options are coming!
I use either Shout of tide pods!
I seriously love your site.. Pleasant colors & theme.

Appreciate it!
I travel with Sport Suds. Its easy laundry on the road. And gets out stains.
I have always wanted to try Tide Sports but it is hard to find in the stores near my home. I haven’t tired any sport detergents.
Vinegar. Never seems to work… Love to see if this does though!
I have not tried any gear specific laundry detergent before. Worth giving it a try.
I hav tried Hex detergent for workout clothes. I have noticed a difference between using regular detergent and sports wash detergent.
I use Spray n Wash Spray and also the stick on tough stains and then wash in unscented detergent either All or Tide usually.
I have not tried any specialty detergent other than Wisk.
I have not tried any specialty detergent other than Wisk. It would be great to try this since I’ve really been pushing the mileage… My clothes have been smellier and more sweaty than ever!
We use Tide Free and Clear (mainly because we wash our little one’s clothes and don’t want any harmful extras), but we are staring to notice it’s just not doing the trick! Would love to give something a try! I wash my long-distant/ultra runner’s clothes and he can really do a number on them (especially in the summer). Tell me this is our answer! 🙂
I use the same detergent for all my clothing but sometimes my workout clothes need something more. I’d love to try this.
I’ve tried a few detergents that’s say they work on sports clothes but I never really saw a difference in it.
I have tried the WIN High-Performance Blue Sports Detergent.
I’m a Tide user but will try anything. Thanks!
just whatever is at my aunts
I have never tried any other laundry detergent that is inclusive for workout gear.
The only other fitness specific detergent I’ve heard of was Tide Sport, and I haven’t tried it.
Thanks for posting this. I LOVE CANADIAN PRODUCTS! And, one of the “cons” you posted is actually a “pro” for me – I am a huge fan of unscented products. I’ll definitely be trying this!
Very shortly this site will be famous amid all blogging
